Bears: Very good defense, but very easy to stop on offense, making the game rest too heavily on their battle-weary defense. While I see spirit and defense pushing them, I'll say they make it maybe to the championship versus the Seahawks for the SuperBowl Spot.
Giants: Eli's getting good, but he's not better then the seahawks..YET.
I look for them to suffer an early loss.
Seattle: Here's the moneymaker of the NFC. Alexander and Hasslebeck are getting great co-ordination, and their defense is finally picking up the slack it had too. Seattle is the team to beat in the NFC, Imho.
as for the wild card, if they haven't made it this far already, they won't make it very far into the playoffs. If they do, I'll drop and give you 50
Now, for the...
AFC
Denver: Jake's good, possibly even at his best, but the rest of his team isn't on the same playing field. It's like the defense got stuck in the practice field while some of Jake's offense made it with him to the real game.
I look for denver to get eliminated mid playoffs.
Indianapolis: If peyton, along with his team, play as well as they did before the loss of their coach's kid, will be the team to beat in the playoffs. In the last two weeks, however, I've seen a rather "haloesque with angels" theme depart the Colts, for the "Brutal, hard world" as they lost two straight after an undefeated season. Still, Peyton is like wildfire.
Jacksonville: With their current QB battle to either put in leftwich or sub gerrard for him, Jacksonville still doesn't come across to me as a play-off caliber team, not with all the injuries they've sustained. If everyone is healthy, jacksonville is a threat. But for now, they're playing hurt.
Cincinatti: While Carson to Johnson was the most frequently heard AFC north news, carson has little to no experience with a game of such a caliber as a playoff. Now; to give an equal example against my team, the steelers:
Ben was great, his first season, we get to the playoffs..then WHAM, he can't handle the pressure, and he didn't know that the game was played such differently. 4 pics in one game, where he didn't have 4 all season? That's the problem with new-experience QBs. Carson will face this, and if he can beat it, which I doubt, they might have a chance.
New England: What a farce turned movie-matierial. I mean, everythings down, you lost a lynchpin on defense, another has a stroke, dillon's all busted up, brady ain't doin his best, yet, they pull it all together and actually make a play-off spot. This just makes me want to laugh. I don't see any underdog potential, as the pats are known superbowl winners, but against the teams that made it this year, they will struggle.
As for the wild cards here: Steelers, unless they suffer a fatal loss to detroit, have the spot.
The Pittsburgh Steelers: While we're banged up, broken, our defense is harder then ever, and people on the offensive side are getting healthier. Example? Last 3 games. Wham wham wham. Won won won. They're on a roll, and they're getting hot when they need to. I still unless we can beat indy, don't see the steelers making the big game. They'll have some playoff fun, though.
Superbowl likelies:
Seahawks Vs Colts
Seahawks Vs New England
Seahawks Vs Pittsburgh
The reason seattle has it in all three, in honest sincerity, is that I don't feel any other team in the NFC has the togetherness of the Seahawks.
Thats my take.

Notice how much better Ben is doing now that his hand is healed. It was the injury that was hurting his play.
And I worry about the Bengals. Yes, the Bengals. I think people underestimate Palmer.
The AFC side is going to be tougher then the NFC side if Pitt and Jax get in. Add NE to the mix and you have three teams that are probably the most physical in the league. Whoever gets out of the AFC alive will be ready to face anyone from the NFC and win.
I like the Seahawks in the NFC, but I fear Holmgren's clock management issues.

His thumb isn't healed. At least, they still list him on the injured list every game. Once they take him off the list, I'll believe his thumb is healed. I won't disagree however; injuries dramatically effect playability.
I'm not underestimating palmer. I just don't feel seeing as he has little-to-no BIG game experience, he'll get it right it first time out of the gate. If he does, I'll be shocked. The Bengals ARE a good team, I'm not saying they aren't, but this is like a test-run for palmer. Expect him to be back in full force since his extension, giving the steelers a run for their money in the AFC north.
While NE did make it, and it'd be a understatement to rule them out, they just don't have the "force" I felt from the superbowl champs. I agree however, whoever wins from AFC can probably beat anything NFC throws are them. Same with Pro Bowl, from the listing of players, IMHO.

Steelers arent doing good just because they are gettin better, they were good from the start this year, just played w/o ben made them lose against "noob" teams like ravens, but when ben did play, as u could see, even tho they lost to indy and cincy, they are playing better. The defense was always good, its wrong to say the defense is getting better because it was already good. Only reason Pittsburgh won 3 in a row IMO is because they played not-very-hard teams like minnesota and browns, bears are okay but only their defense..

i forget who they start out against but i think taht the redskins wil have a cahnce IF they can get there running game going along w/ there passing game. if they can get there running game started then they can go to play action and really do some dmg. and there defense needs to step up and stop the other team. then i think they can win easily.

ok lets see my picks from those games:
Steelers over Bengals as long as they get there running game to contuine on its tear
Jags at Pats got to give it to last years champs as they are playing at home and it will surely be cold. tom brady is good in any temp below 40 degrees. (EDIT Pats win, srry i forgot to put over i put JAgs @ Pats instead of saying who wil win but i was implying pats my fault on that)
Panthers over Giants as the giants have become way to inconsistent lately unless they get there running and passing game going its gonna be the panthers
Redskins over Bucs ya w/ the way the redskins are playing should be a win for them but they are going up against the bucs who def gave up the least amount of yards this season. what to watch:if santana moss can pull away from the bucs safteys and cbs

Steelers @ Bengals
Jaguars @ Patriots
Panthers @ Giants
Redskins @ Buccaneers
1. Bengals, rudi rudi rudi. all is said
2. Patriots, as i pwned u said, tom brady is i believe 20-0 in the temperature in 35 degrees
3. Panthers, this is eli's first playoff appearance, and tiki barber isnt enough to overcome a playoff game.
4. buccaneers, simply because i hate the redskins

Really good point Pwnd
Portis we forget he was the main back in denver few years ago over 1,500 yards and tons of rushing td's
moss is great and he is like steve smith strong and fast I dont think the redskins will lose this game cuz when simms is under pressure he makes mistakes mark the redskins QB does not do the same so with moss, portis, and mark under it all they have played longer, have less turnovers, and a good D better then the bucs I say.
REDSKINS.
I dont care what bradys record is it dont matter the colts where 14-0 everyone and yea even me said they would go 19-0 but what happen they lost two games theres a first time for everything and I think the jags will prove this vs pats.
Bengals D is falling apart I dont see them stopping the bus, wille parker, and Ben Rothlesberger. Sorry chad johnson your not getting a ring this year.
Giants are too young on the QB side 2nd year manning winning a super bowl? NOPE I dont see that happening tiki is a great back but just not enough to win
Panthers have smith,a good QB, Foster a good running back fast and makes good cuts, plus the panthers have been to the super bowl and almost beat the pats who wont get there this year, so I say panthers.
No one belived me when I said the redskins would get back in and make the playoffs whos the wrong one now? it's not me they are in and a hard very good team
Bucs are also too young
Pats had after the first four games of the season faced easy teams: Jets, saints, maimi, bills, come on sooooo easy
Bucs had it easy too after a few games in the season.
Redskins have beaten hard teams: Giants,Eagles, dallas, others
I know you're thinking: eagles? they sucked But they have a good D and it was at there house last week it's hard to win in philly.
thats it.

tyec u really think jags can beat the patriots in playoffs? jags couldnt beat the rams when they didnt have isaac bruce, torry holt, marc bulger, and those are the best players they got in there, cept orlando pace and some in defence.

Just watch the game it will be a low scoring game with these two the jags dont quit and will prove this and pull out a win just watch.
jags are 12-4, pats are 10-6
jags not only have the better record but also a much stronger QB in leftwitch
just watch.

I'd have to disagree with you here, chargers are great, they just don't pull through on the games that we should win, the dolphins game, we looked ahead to the colts, everyone in SD (i live here) was not as interested in this game because they thought it would be a gimme, turned out we were wrong. Our margin of defeat has been small for most of the teams we've lost to, eagles (when they had everyone), cowboys, steelers - all teams who were in the top of the division at the time.
As for Tony Dungy's son, it's a big toll on the Colts, but i think it will make them stronger, now they want to win one for their coach who has led them to the playoffs and made them a 13-0 team, i expect to see Colts in possibly the superbowl along with the Seahawks

wow the raiders were pathetic this season. this was not the team they were suppose to be. they were suppose to excel w/ moss and their def./ but they fell flat on their faces adn did horrible. moss did alrite but collins didnt have a good season and they didnt have a prominent enough running game. waiting for moss to announce he wants to be traded! and anyone else ticked over the mike tice, sherman, and martz firings?
